130 miles for son and fellow Sunfield students

Produce World, cycle challengeA team of work colleagues from Produce World, an agriculture and produce organisation, completed a strenuous cycle challenge to raise funds for charity.

Across 2 days in October, a team of eight senior finance colleagues including Rob Edwards, father of Sunfield student Adam Edwards, travelled between their five company sites. Starting at Isleham in Cambridgeshire and crossing the finish line at Butterwick in Lincolnshire, the team covered a distance of 130 miles.

Produce World DonationThis month, Rob Edwards visited Sunfield to present his son Adam, a residential student at Sunfield, with a cheque for £1,240.10. The donation will enable funding of specialised equipment, essential projects and the many other things not covered by government funding.

Georgina Forrest, Sunfield’s Partnership Development Manager said, ‘The team from Produce World has shown real commitment to the tough challenge set and dedication to support our children and young people. Thank you to the cyclists and all those that encouraged the team through sponsorship. The wonderful donation will go a long way in supporting our students aged 6-19 with complex needs, living and learning with us.’
