The Birmingham office of accountancy firm Mazars has raised over £1,200 for a local special school.
Mazars held an afternoon tea event at Hotel du Vin in the city in November, which was attended by around 70 female clients and contacts.
Business adviser and tax specialist Adele Raiment, said, “It was a brilliant occasion – an opportunity for everyone to get together and meet like-minded individuals to drink tea, eat cake and raise money for a fantastic cause.’’
Based in Clent and founded in the 1930’s, Sunfield is an independent residential special school supporting boys and girls, aged 6-19, with complex learning needs, including autism.
Georgina Forrest, Sunfield’s Partnership Development Manager, said, “There was a wonderful atmosphere, it was a chance to raise awareness of our work a little further afield in Birmingham and everyone on the day was so generous. We’d like to thank Mazars for choosing our boys, girls and young people to benefit from the event.”
The donation will help the school purchase new vehicles and enhancing equipment, such as specialised sensory and computer equipment.
