A local ukulele musical group from Blackheath, known as ‘BUGS’, have kindly donated £200 to Sunfield School as their chosen charity of the year partner. As well as the donation the group presented Sunfield’s Music Therapy Department with three brand new ukuleles.
The presentation was made when the group performed a mixture of Christmas songs at Sunfield’s Winter Open Day for the students, their families and staff in December.
Chris Cooper, Sunfield’s Music Therapist said, ‘Music Therapy is so important in supporting our children’s communication needs and wellbeing through the motivational qualities of singing and playing instruments. This is why the generous support from BUGS means so much, allowing us to continue our work.’
