Pedmore woman boosts charity funds

Donation to SunfieldLocal Pedmore woman, Victoria Forrest, has donated over £1,600 to Sunfield a residential and special school based in Clent.

Victoria, aged 20, has organised and completed various fundraising activities as part of her Queens’s Guide Award, the highest award in Girlguiding.

Events during the last 12 months have included charity cake sales, Christmas themed collections, raffles as well as Victoria’s main challenge of completing an abseil of a 418ft descent down the National Lift Tower in Northampton.

Victoria has now presented the school with the donation and all funds raised will help fund services and equipment, not funded by the Government, supporting children and young people with complex learning needs including Autism.

Victoria, a former Pedmore Technology College student said: ‘It’s been so much fun fundraising for Sunfield and having seen the wonderful work they do I will continue to get involved in the future.’

Georgina Forrest, Sunfield Partnership Development Manager said; “We’d like to thank Victoria who has been a loyal and passionate supporter of ours and has not only raised a fantastic amount in donations but has helped raise awareness of our need for local support amongst her friends, family and contacts
