Earlier this month, five brave colleagues took on The Wolf Run challenge to raise funds for Sunfield School.
Patsy, Sue, Rachel, Aggie & Jess, who all work as part of the care team on Sunfield’s Acorns Residential House, completed the 10k off-road run. The challenge featured a series of man-made and natural obstacles including lake swims, mud pits, fallen trees, boggy ground, ditches, hills and dense foliage.
Patsy Hand, Senior Care Support Worker, said, “It was tough but we stuck together on route, it was a real team effort and we laughed the whole way, as scary and tiring as it was.”
Georgina Forrest, Sunfield Partnership Development Manager said; “A much deserved well done goes to Team Acorns, by stepping out of their comfort zone and slipping and sliding about in the mud pits the team have raised a superb amount of close to £500 for the children and young people that we provide specialised care and education for.”
