Volunteer fundraisers for Sunfield, a residential special school in Clent, held a charity quiz night earlier in the year to raise funds for the school.
Sunfield’s Community Fundraising Group, made up of 8 locally based members, held the quiz at Belbroughton Village Hall in March. The event was in aid of the school, who support boys and girls aged 6-19 with complex needs including autism.
With around 50 guests in attendance and interesting and varying quiz rounds the event was deemed a great success. The group has presented Sunfield with a donation of £300 towards the Elm House Refurbishment Appeal. The donation will help fund the modernisation of a residential house, specifically for Sunfield’s 2:1 (adult: child) children, providing an invidivualised living and learning environment.
Georgina Forrest, Sunfield Partnership Development Manager said; “We’d like to thank our devoted volunteers for their time in organising the quiz and to thank all those that supported by entering a team. We’re always looking for extra volunteer helpers, so if you’d like to give something back to your local community then we’d love to hear from you.”
