In line with Autism Awareness Month (April), Sunfield is asking parents and families as well as the local community to take part in their Summer fundraising campaign, Sunshine Week, 6 – 14 June.
Sunfield, who support children and young people aged 6 -19 who have complex learning and behavioral needs including autism, are encouraging local people to hold a yellow themed event at home, work or school.
Funds raised will help the school purchase much needed items to enhance the lives of the students including; sensory resources, musical and sporting equipment and new school vehicles.
Georgina Forrest, Sunfield Partnership Development Manager said; “By holding a yellow dress down day in the office, a yellow themed cake sale with a slice or lemon drizzle or two, or even a bright idea of your own, you can add sparkle to the lives of children with complex needs, including autism.’
