SUNFIELD'S PATRONS
  Back
Jasper Carrott

Jasper came to Sunfield in 2000 to present the children with a new minibus on behalf of the Variety Club of Great Britain.  Since then he has been a huge support to the charity, in particular spearheading an appeal to build a new £1 million residential house for 12 children which he opened in 2004.
Josie Lawrence

Josie has been involved with Sunfield since 1998 and the children enjoyed seeing her star in the King and I at the London Palladium in 2001.  In September 2005, Josie climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the charity's appeal to build new classrooms.
Adrian Chiles

Adrian spent most of his childhood living just a couple of miles from Sunfield and attended school in nearby Hagley.  His Marathon training often sees him running on the Clent Hills around Sunfield and, in 2005, he completed the London Marathon dressed as the West Bromwich Albion FC mascot, Baggie Bird in aid of Sunfield's new classrooms appeal.  Adrian has also been presenting a series of 'Late Late Working Lunches' for Sunfield - fundraising evening events where he interviews a well-known guest.
Philippa Russell

Dr Philippa Russell is Director of the Council of Disabled Children and a campaigner for over 30 years for improvements in social, educational and health services for disabled children and their families. She is an advocate of an holistic approach to the needs of disabled children and has been hugely influential in both policy and practice. Formal national recognition of her contributions have come in the form of an OBE in 1988 and a CBE in 2001. In 1992, she was awarded the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Centenary Award for her contribution to the field of learning disability.
