Sunfield's Professional Development Centre offers a wide range of conferences, courses and workshops to educators, carers, parents and other professionals.
These range from conferences on national issues, to workshops on care and educational practices, and support and consultancy services to staff in day and residential settings.

Sunfield also hosts conferences of a multi-disciplinary nature relating medical, social and care issues to the everyday needs of people with disabilities.
A Professional Development Centre programme is produced on a termly basis and courses directly reflect changes in legislation and current government initiatives. Therefore, courses covering curriculum and care issues figure prominently in the programmes we are able to offer.
Sunfield also prides itself on being one of the UK TEACCH Centres able to offer 5 day TEACCH training twice a year. This specialised training (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) is delivered and validated by the University of North Carolina, USA.
The Professional Development Centre offers the opportunity to meet fellow professionals and exchange ideas and good practices. Networking is a concept that is a necessity in our thinking today.
Reasonably priced accommodation is available within walking distance of Sunfield, either at the local hotel or a country cottage. Both are idyllically situated in the beautiful Clent Hills.
