Please support us in any way you can. Here are just a few ideas.
- Donations We are always grateful for donations, however small. If you are a taxpayer you can increase the value of your donation by instructing us to treat your donation as Gift Aid; this enables Sunfield to reclaim tax from the Inland Revenue but does not cost you an extra penny. - Contacts If you know anyone such as a celebrity, trustee of a charitable trust, company director, bank manager, member of a local Rotary Club, newspaper editor or reporter etc. who would be willing to help us, please put us in touch with them.
- Spread the word By simply telling people about the good work and the successes of Sunfield, you can often find that many people are willing to fundraise or would at least buy a raffle ticket or come along to a fundraising event.
- Company support and sponsorship You may be able to put us in touch with a company who could sponsor an event or contribute towards one of the projects at Sunfield. They might also be willing to select Sunfield as their charity for the year, or they may operate a match fund scheme, whereby they will donate to charity by matching the fundraising carried out by their employees (Most banks operate these schemes). The company may also wish to send Sunfield Christmas cards to its clients.
- Collecting tins and leaflets Could you get your local pub, newsagent, hairdresser etc. to have a collecting tin on their counter, or display our leaflets and newsletters? If you could, please let us have details.
- Join our fundraising committee We have an Appeals Committee which comprises parents, staff, local business people and representatives from the local community. If you feel you would like to be part of this, please contact our Appeals Department.
- Organise an event Such as a coffee morning, quiz night, 70s night, sponsored walk, sponsored swim, sponsored slim, disco, karaoke, etc. We can supply sponsorship forms and we can occasionally help with publicity. It is important that you consult us before planning an event and you should also be aware that some activities need licences / permission from local authorities and the police.
- Purchase Sunfield merchandise and Christmas cards We have a variety of promotional items and gifts. These include pin badges, pens, key rings and mugs. At Christmas we also sell a range of Christmas cards. We offer two options: select from a small range of competitively prices charity cards in packs of 10; or choose from a range of cards which can be personalised to your requirements including a company logo - ideal for companies to send to their clients.
- Volunteering We always need volunteers to help us with tasks such as folding newsletters, packing envelopes for mailshots, delivering leaflets, organising or helping at fundraising events.
- Legacy Many people choose to support their favourite charity by including them as a beneficiary in their Will, or by adding a codicil to an existing Will. You can download a legacy leaflet by clicking here.
