Assistant Home Manager
Salary: Grade 7 £21,961.00 – £23,871 per annum plus sleep in allowance
Hours – 40 hours per week (to be worked on a flexible rota) plus sleep-ins.

Sunfield School and Children’s Home, part of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group, is located in the stunning Clent Hills. Sunfield provides innovative and experiential education for children and young people with Autistic spectrum Conditions and special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin. Set within 58 acres of idyllic parkland, nestled on the slopes of the Clent Hills, we are an independent residential special school and charity who support young people, aged 6 – 19 years, with complex learning needs, including Autism and PDA.
The Assistant Home Manager is a new role being introduced at Sunfield which combines residential shifts, working closely with the children and young people to help them to feel safe, respected, confident and capable of achieving their best while modelling excellent practice and helping to develop their colleagues’ skills and confidence of the whole team. The role includes taking on management duties as delegated by the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager and assuming the role of leader in their absence.
This role is the perfect for anyone who has already gained significant experience within care and is looking for opportunities to progress their career and gain management experience.
We have six full time vacancies for this role. The successful candidate will need to be fully flexible and work over a 7 day working week (including weekends and Bank Holidays). All posts within Sunfield are subject to a 6 month probation period and the full-time hours for care staff are 40 per week to be worked in accordance with a rota. The role also includes some personal care. You will already hold the QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent) and be willing to work toward the level 5 qualification within 2 years of starting the role.
