Residential and Education Support Worker

Sunfield Childrens Home – Clent

Salary: £15,600 – £19,442 plus sleep in allowance (commencing salary within the range is subject to qualifications, post qualifying experience, CPD and experience)

Hours – 40 hours per week (to be worked on a flexible rota) plus sleep-ins

Sunfield are looking for exceptional people to join us as Residential and Education Support Workers. Set within 58 acres of idyllic parkland, nestled on the slopes of the Clent Hills, we are an independent residential special school and charity who support young people, aged 6 – 19 years, with complex learning needs, including Autism and PDA. As a Residential and Education Support Worker at Sunfield, you will work closely with the children and young people and their family to help them to feel safe, respected, confident and capable of achieving their best, and their family to feel understood, informed, supported and reassured.

Your role of Residential and Education Support Worker is a dual role based in the classroom and also in the home to support and assist our children and young people in all aspects of their daily lives.  The role also includes some personal care.   You will be expected to work flexibly (including split shifts) and creatively to meet the needs of the children and young people by working weekends, sleep-ins, waking nights, bank holidays and residential holidays and providing cover as required.

Ideally you will hold one of the following qualifications and be committed to becoming dual-qualified at Level 3 as this is a requirement of the role.

OCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)

NVQ Level 3 Diploma for Teaching and Learning in School (or equivalent)
