Teaching Assistant (TA) – Rudolf Steiner Education -Sunfield School

£12,739.07 – £14,680.00 per annum – 35 hours per week, Term time only.


Sunfield School and Children’s Home, part of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group, is located in the stunning Clent Hills. Sunfield provides innovative and experiential education for children and young people with Autistic spectrum Conditions and special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.

Set within 58 acres of idyllic parkland, nestled on the slopes of the Clent Hills, we are an independent residential special school and charity who support young people, aged 6 – 19 years, with complex learning needs, including Autism and PDA.

As a Teaching Assistant at Sunfield, you will work closely with a young person to support and facilitate their learning, progress and wellbeing in a range of environments, including class, work-related learning, college and the wider community.

Your role as Teaching Assistant at Sunfield will entail supporting children through the delivery of individually tailored educational and therapeutic programmes as well as assisting students with their daily independent living skills and personal care.

You will be a qualified Teaching Assistant, with classroom experience and have experience of working with young children with Special Education Needs.  You will have both the skills and knowledge to meet the individual needs of the children and young people at Sunfield.
